Role Overview



We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join a world leading trader of agricultural commodities as an Accountant on a temporary basis until the end of December 2025. The position is responsible for working closely with the accounting & finance department to ensure seamless integration and functionality. The role provides a great insight for someone eager to demonstrate their skills and experience in the fast-paced soft commodities environment.

Key Accountabilities


Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes in alignment with general ledger standards. Process and post incoming and outgoing payment transactions accurately and in a timely manner. Monitor and follow up on overdue payments, including issuing reminders and calculating interest on late payments. Prepare and deliver weekly debtor reports for the Risk Management department. Perform regular bank account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness. Reconcile intercompany accounts and ensure compliance with internal policies. Support the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements. Assist with additional finance-related tasks and projects as required.
Skills and Experience


Bachelors Degree educated in Accounting, Finance or related field, or completion of 3-year commercial apprenticeship. Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in accounting. Strong command of written and spoken English; additional languages including German or Spanish is a plus. Ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy and reliability. Detail-oriented, organized, and committed to delivering high-quality results. Strong team player with effective communication skills.
