Job description

• Your mission at Climeworks is to identify opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness enhancements and implement scalable accounting solutions to facilitate our international expansion.
• You take ownership of the correct and timely accounting for our legal entities, ensuring compliance with Swiss GAAP FER and statutory reporting requirements.
• Ensuring accurate and efficient cost allocation processes to optimize resource utilization and financial transparency.
• Oversee accounts payables and accounts receivables activities where your legal entity is reflected and make decisions regarding their accurate accounting treatment.
• Assume responsibility for the local statutory financial result and actively participate in the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings, supporting the consolidation of your legal entity.
• Ensure compliance with local financial regulations, standards, VAT, and tax requirements.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to align financial processes with organizational goals.

• Proven track record of taking full legal entity responsibility for accounting matters.
• A passion for identifying process inefficiencies and implementing solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to drive financial accuracy.
• Collaborative mindset to work effectively with colleagues across different departments.
• You have at least seven years of experience in accounting, preferably with several years as a Senior or General Ledger Accountant
• Any accounting degree or qualification is a plus.
• You are comfortable working in an international environment with daily interactions in English and German, with any other language being a plus.
