GBS RTR for an accounting Manager

for the record-to-report function within Caterpillar's Global Business Services team, and has fiduciary responsibilities for complete, accurate, and timely financial reporting for the entities in scope (+/- 15 ledgers in Switzerland, Luxembourg, UK and Slovakia). Total annual sales for the entities in scope is approximately ~20bn USD.


This role will encourage you to continue to demonstrate and develop your leadership skills, utilizing excellent communication, and financial analysis skills. You will manage a team of 2 accounting professional in Geneva as well as support personnel in the RTR Center of Excellence and COE in India.

What You Will Do:



Oversight for US GAAP reporting: Monthly legal entity financial closing; journal entry and account reconciliation review/approval/oversight; monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to Corporate Accounting Participate in GBS projects including system deployments, regulatory compliance, and continuous process improvement & standardization initiatives SOX compliance and coordination of PWC and internal audits. Provide accounting guidance for the India Managed Service Provider Act as an essential partner and financial advisor to the CSARL Tax and Treasury groups. Business support to other internal customers.

What You Have:



This position requires a strong background in financial accounting, US and local GAAP reporting and team management. Knowledge of the Caterpillar organization, its products, policies and procedures is also desired. Strong analytical skills are required to perform detailed financial analysis and prepare strategic plans. It is strongly preferred that the incumbent has credentialed expertise (CPA, CMA or equivalents) and solid practical experience involving technical accounting and reporting issues. The position typically requires a professional degree or certification requiring several years of full-time study after a college degree. In addition, 6 - 8 or more years of progressively responsible job-related experience are typically required. Excellent interpersonal skills are required in order to deal with sensitive issues, develop others, or persuade others inside and outside the department to take specific action

A valid Swiss work permit or Swiss or EU-25/EFTA citizenship is required for this position.
