About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and motivated
Cook
to take charge of the Staff Canteen located at the
Zurich Airport Technical Site
.
In this role, you will serve employees from various companies operating within the airport's technical area. Your job has three main pillars: managing the
Grill Station
during lunch, supporting the
Service Team
when the grill is not busy, and assisting our
Commercial Airline Catering Kitchen
with production tasks.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a cook seeking a stable work-life balance with fixed working hours:
Monday to Friday, 07:30 - 16:30
(no weekends, no night shifts)
Responsibilities
Grill Station Management:
Running the live grill station during lunch service (11:00 - 13:30), preparing items such as burgers, french fries, chicken skewers, and steaks.
Airline Catering Kitchen Support:
This is a key part of the role. When canteen service is finished or during quieter periods, you will join the main kitchen team to
help with commercial airline catering production
.
Service Team Support:
Flexibility is essential. If guests are not ordering from the grill, you are expected to step out and assist the service team with serving food, refill the buffet, and cleaning tables.
Cold Kitchen Prep:
Preparing fresh ingredients and setting up the Salad Buffet daily.
Hygiene & Quality:
Maintaining strict hygiene standards across all areas (canteen and main kitchen).
Desirable Skills
Experience:
Proven experience as a Cook, specifically with experience at a Grill station or in a canteen/cafeteria environment.
Language:
Basic
German
is required.
Personality:
Friendly and team-oriented. You must be willing to jump between the
Grill
, the
Service floor
, and the
Production Kitchen
depending on where help is needed.
Reliability:
Able to work independently and maintain high standards.
