\\n For our customer, the Nestl\\xc3\\xa9 Research & Development Center in Konolfingen, we are looking for an Alternative Methods Specialist (m/f/d).
Activity rate: 100%.Type of contract: 2 years.

Our Client develop for Nestl\\xc3\\xa9 worldwide, new products, processes and packaging concepts in the areas of shelf-stable milk and plant based products. In addition, we also provide technical assistance to our factories. The product portfolio includes such trusted and well-recognized brands such as MATERNA, NAN, NIDO, NESTOGEN, LACTOGEN, GERBER, CERELAC, SMA and ILLUMA. In the quality departement, the \\\'Alternative Methods Specialist\\\', support the development and implementation of alternative methods for the rapid analysis of ingredients, semi-finished and finished products (mainly Near Infrared, X-Ray Fluorescence, Refractometry, Colorimetry). Provide scientific and/or technical guidance to support projects to deliver innovative and competitive products/processes in response to business and consumer needs. Maintain expertise to ensure efficient and effective knowledge transfer and support to factories.

A Day in the Life of an Alternative Methods Specialist in an R&D environment

• Independently support the projects assigned, leading the relevant activities necessary to ensure Quality and Food Safety by Design
• Provide accurate and on-time support to operations with effective and sustainable solutions
• Develop and update category specific instructions
• Promote quality awareness across the company and contribute to competence development of quality professionals across the organization
• Proactively lead Continuous Improvement programs in the quest for zero defect

Qualification

What will make you successful

• MSc or higher degree in Chemistry, Food Science and Technology or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of spectroscopic and chemometric techniques, preferably in food applications
• Strong written and oral communication skills including presentations
• Good interpersonal & teamwork skills and a good sense of business/technical interrelationships
• Fluent in English, other language will be a plus
