For our client, a boutique Swiss private bank based in Geneva, we are seeking an Anti-Financial Crime Officer to join their dynamic team.
As part of the bank's Compliance & AML Onboarding & Reviews department, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Anti-Financial Crime Unit.
Responsibilities

• Anti-Financial Crime activities:

• Onboarding of low-, medium-, and high-risk clients

• Conduct periodic reviews and prepare detailed analyses for the Client Acceptance Committee

• Perform day-to-day compliance-related activities, checks, and inspections

• Liaise with the Front Office on outstanding KYC issues

• Conduct enhanced due diligence on PEPs and high-risk clients

• Maintain files and documentation for audit and supervisory bodies, ensuring proper document quality and retention

• Conduct ad hoc investigations and clarifications on third-party adverse news and anomalous transactional behaviours, reporting to line managers and the Head of Compliance and AFC

• Escalate suspicious activities for analysis to determine whether a SAR to MROS may be required

Profile

• University degree in Swiss law, economics or equivalent professional training

• Minimum 4 years of experience in the field of AFC

• Previous experience in remediation activities considered an asset

• Ability to work independently while being a team player

• Very good knowledge of the Swiss regulatory framework in terms of AML and CDB

• Strong analytical skills to assess the economic background of transactions

• Fluent in English and French, knowledge of another language considered an asset

• Reliable, proactive, and honest personality

• Excellent organisation and time management skills

• Proficiency in MS Office, GT Sanctions, PM1, FINNOVA

• Swiss domiciliation
