Description


TOFWERK is seeking an Application Scientist to develop and demonstrate new applications of our Electron Impact (EI)-based time-of-flight mass spectrometers (TOFMS) with emphasis on Process Analysis in Device Manufacturing Applications. The scientist will work in support of our EI product team for short- and long-term product developments and communicate the capabilities of TOFWERK technology to prospective customers and lead product demonstrations; represent TOFWERK at international scientific meetings; support the Marketing Department in the production of technical promotional material; formally present data in conference presentations, research reports, application notes, and peer-reviewed publications; and be responsible for scientific support of customers. They will support our quality control team with final product testing to ensure the quality of our instruments.


Requirements


Master or PhD in Physics, Chemistry or a related field Experience with electron impact mass spectrometers (EI MS) Experience in experimental design, analytical methods, operation and troubleshooting of scientific equipment, and data interpretation Ability to work independently in the laboratory Confident and effective communicator Willingness to travel up to 30% per year for scientific conferences and customer site visits at European and international locations Fluency in English, both written and oral
Desirable Experience and Expertise


Experience in process analysis in an industrial setting Experience running and characterizing scientific equipment Experience with time-of-flight mass spectrometers (TOF MS)
