Assistant Manager - FS Deal Advisory - Transaction Services


You and your team of high performers advise our national and international clients in strategic merger and acquisition projects. From day one, delivering our due diligence services in Financial Services requires you to take full ownership of fast-paced, intellectually challenging work.

Your contribution to KPMG

Organize and execute sell-side and buy-side due diligence and vendor assistance projects for international and Swiss clients in Financial Services Lead and collaborate with colleagues from different service lines to deliver critical insights for strategic investment decisions to our clients Obtain, compile and analyze financial, commercial and operational data of target companies for key deal metrics such as sustainable revenues and earnings, adjusted net assets and future cash flows Demonstrate ability to engage and listen intently to clients to understand and interpret their needs Present quantitative analysis in a concise manner, accompanied by qualitative commentary in a polished client report Lead and coach junior team members through due diligence projects and provide them with development opportunities and meaningful feedback Take on the lead of a work stream or entire smaller projects, and cooperate with internal stakeholders (tax, legal and other consultants) and the client working on the same deal Attend international training and benefit from various internal and external training opportunities provided by KPMG

This is what makes you successful

Successfully completed a Bachelor / Master Degree in Business Administration, Banking and Finance, or Economics (ideally with specialization in accounting or corporate finance); relevant further education (ACCA, CPA) seen as a plus Ideally you have completed or you are close to completion of your accounting degree At least 3 years of experience in Transaction Services ideally in Financial Services; Experience in Financial Accounting, Mergers & Acquisitions, Financial Audit, Controlling in the Financial Services industry also considered, especially if combined with first experience in transactions and Big4 exposure Analytical style of work, advanced problem-solving skills and affinity for explaining complex topics in a simple and understandable way Quick to grasp and learn new things and translate these into actions Strong people management skills, with a willingness to mentor and teach junior team members, fostering their professional development Not afraid to take on responsibility, able to handle pressure combined with a high degree of flexibility Proficient in German and English, French or Italian is a plus You surprise us with exceptional achievement in business, private endeavors and/or academics.
