Diese Position berichtet an:


Head of Sales, Automation Business, Local Division Energy Industries

In this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for the sales of service business (installed base) within the Energy Industries division, in line with the division strategy. Each day, you will meet both qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable order growth, revenues, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. You will also showcase your sales skills by identifying and developing new sales opportunities within the installed base in Switzerland.

This role is contributing to the Energy Industries division in Switzerland.

You will be mainly accountable for:

Customer Engagement: Build and maintain solid customer relationships, ensuring a positive experience and providing technical support during sales interactions; establishing, acquiring and establishing a strong relationships for expanding our service offering at the existing customer sites in the field of process automation and maintaining a positive customer experience in the sales process as a front-end salesperson Sales Execution: Enhance sales through strategic initiatives, value-based selling, target setting, and engaged participation in contract negotiations; collaborate with extended sales teams to unlock new market opportunities Bid Management: Manage the preparation of competitive bids and proposals, addressing technical, financial, and project aspects while identifying risks and ensuring accurate documentation Process & Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal guidelines, efficient use of tools, accurate forecasting, and support for administrative and reporting processes; continuous maintenance of data about your sales activities and project pipeline in the ABB CRM system (Salesforce)

Qualifications for the role:

A vocational training/diploma in electrical engineering as an electrician/automation specialist or a university degree in electrical engineering. In addition to that, 5-10 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management Knowledge in the field of industrial automation within sectors such as power generation, chemical-pharmaceutical, waste to energy plants, or water and wastewater management Digitally savvy for selling our digital product portfolio to our installed base clients A team-oriented, solution-oriented approach with proficient written and oral communication skills in German and English, French would be an advantage Effective interpersonal skills as well as ability to analyze customer needs and tailor solutions accordingly; open, customer- and goal-oriented as well as structured and methodical way of working and ability to work in a team Very good knowledge of ERP and CRM software as well as Microsoft Office; experience in the offering of digital solutions as well as in-depth knowledge of the electrical installer market and interest in building automation; a proven ability to build and manage customer relationships Valid Swiss category B driver's license and a Swiss work permit
