for the
Packaging, Warehousing and Logistics department at our Basel and Kaiseraugst
locations . This position is part of
Homebase Pharma Engineering
, which supports internal business partners in research, development, launch and market production, as well as in packaging, warehousing and logistics, with professional engineering services.
As an automation engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance
of existing and new automation systems
, particularly
stand-alone packaging lines for sterile dosage forms
, ensuring their
stable production
. You will continuously optimize process equipment, evaluate new technologies, and actively support business partners in investment projects, including cost estimation and scheduling. Furthermore, you will manage sub-projects in all project phases, coordinate resources, costs, and technical solutions, and work closely with interdisciplinary teams. Your expertise will also be incorporated into
audits and GMP/SHE inspections
.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Support of existing and new automation systems that are or will be integrated into the Roche infrastructure.
Operational engineering with the goal of ensuring the continuation of production at all times.
Continuous optimization of process plants and evaluation, testing and recommendation of new technologies Proactive support of business partners in defining and initiating investment projects, including cost estimates and schedules Collaboration in (leading) interdisciplinary teams with internal and external employees and companies
Independent handling of sub-projects in all project phases with responsibility for costs, deadlines, resources and technical solutions.
Support during audits and inspections by internal departments and authorities in the areas of GMP and SHE
Must Haves:
Completed studies or training as a technician/engineer in automation, electrical engineering or similar.
At least 5 years of experience in the automation field, ideally with a pharmaceutical background.
Solid knowledge of automation software (e.g. Siemens PCS7, TIA, WinCC, B&R)
Experience in the vertical integration of systems with higher-level systems (PI, MES)
Excellent knowledge of the GMP/GAMP environment
Willingness to work in an agile, self-organized environment
Excellent German skills, English and French
