The team



This role sits within the Middle Office Function.


The Middle Office Function reports locally to the CEO and functionally to the Head of Middle Office Operations, Wealth Management based in the UK. The Function covers operations, securities & fund execution, information & communication technology, business continuity & operational resilience, project management as well as formalities control for Schroders & Co Bank AG.


The role will primarily lead the design and the implementation of robust business continuity and operational resilience frameworks for Schroders & Co Bank AG, as well as manage the new activities & product process.


The role is critical in ensuring the bank's key services to clients are protected against disruptions and regulatory requirements are met.



What you'll do



Develop and maintain the bank's Business Continuity Management (BCM) and Operational Resilience policies and frameworks, ensuring alignment with the needs of the Wealth Management business and compliance with local regulations Design, document, and continually enhance business continuity and incident response plans specific to wealth management processes and client service requirements Conduct regular Business Impact Analyses (BIAs) and operational risk assessments to identify critical processes, dependencies, risks, and vulnerabilities Define, monitor, and review operational resilience metrics, impact tolerances, and interdependency mapping to ensure continuity across business-critical services Collaborate closely with the involved Global Functions, Group Risk and SCoBAG teams to integrate resilience and continuity measures into projects, technology solutions, and operational changes Organise and lead crisis management exercises designed to test and validate the effectiveness of plans and improve preparedness Serve as the central point of contact for BCM and Operational Resilience matters with auditors and external collaborators. Ensure regulatory obligations are met and documentation remains up to date Lead post-incident analysis and reporting; drive ongoing improvement initiatives based on lessons learned, latest regulatory developments, and industry standard processes Promote a strong culture of operational resilience and business continuity awareness through staff training, communication, and collaborator engagement at all levels

The Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications You Need



Higher education either in business administration or banking Previous experience in operational risk management, business continuity management and/or operational resilience, preferably within a Swiss banking environment Good knowledge of relevant Swiss (FINMA) regulatory requirements, operational risk frameworks, and industry standards related to BCM and resilience Strong collaborator management skills and ability to influence at all levels, particularly within a matrixed organization Sound understanding of risk management tools, business impact analysis, and crisis management Motivated to shape this position due to new requirements Fluent in English
