MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To identify, research, conceptualise, communicate and implement business innovation initiatives and projects that result in the successful launch and commercialisation of products, services and new businesses. The intent is to rapidly incubate and commercialise new business opportunities and capabilities to respond to changing healthcare needs and diversify sources of future growth for the Company.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

• Identify, conceptualise, design, communicate, and implement innovative and relevant product and service offerings with viable business models that satisfy the changing needs of health and care consumers in existing and future markets pertinent to the Company
• Frame, direct and manage the design process for innovations to ensure they solve business problems and create new, value generating products, services and solutions for existing and future health and care consumers of the Company
• Design, conduct and report on business experiments and field research to validate problems, solutions and market fit as well as de-risk business hypotheses related to the innovation projects
• Translate design solutions into tangible value and impact by applying design methods, tools, and principles throughout the innovation process

REQUIRED EDUCATION

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION

• Masters degree in Business, Design, Innovation, Health Sciences, Law or equivalent advanced degree

DESIRED EDUCATION

Any post graduate degree in Innovation, Design, and/ or Strategy

Healthcare qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

7+ years of experience in strategic innovation, product, service and solution design and management, business modelling, and business development.

5 years\\\' experience in a healthcare environments understanding the systems and their interrelatedness.

Deep Knowledge and/ or experience in managing the design process from initial field research and insight creation through to product launch and commercialisation of new products, services and solutions on the market.

Experience in leading highly complex initiatives from conception to commercialisation.

Demonstrated success in defining a culture of innovation and driving growth through new revenue sources.

Ability to work in uncertain, ambiguous, fast-changing market environments

Experience working with global teams or in a global environment

Experience in innovation across multiple geographies and cultures

Fluent mother-tongue level English

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Ability to influence and persuade others to a new or different perspective through use of compelling data and insights
• Business modelling, business strategy, product and service design and development, innovation management, branding and communication, business transformation in a phygital context

• Design tools (i.e. Adobe Creative Suite, rapid prototyping, collaboration tools)
• Experience with the running of innovation management suites
• Expert in using design principles to tackle innovation challenges
• In-depth knowledge of and experience in either the SA, Swiss or European healthcare systems and/ or UAE healthcare systems
• Innovation governance
• Knowledge of country-specific healthcare regulatory requirements in the operating divisions
• MS Office Suite
• New Business development (e.g. business modelling, business strategy, product and service design and development, innovation management or business transformation)
• Pillars of the 4th Industrial Revolution
• Process Engineering
• Project management skills; ability to handle multiple initiatives and to create, track, measure and report on product and service success using relevant metrics and KPIs

• Research and Design methodologies
• Systems thinking with understanding of the interactions and interdependencies of business information and events on the operational level
