Business Developer @Siemens Energy Switzerland

A Snapshot of Your Day

As Business Developer of Siemens Energy Switzerland, you will be an integral part of our Subregion Western Europe team focusing on customers and business opportunities primarily in Switzerland, but you will also have the opportunity to work across our subregion consisting of the countries Belgium, Netherlands, France and Switzerland.

You drive our pre-sales activities across our complete portfolio in a challenging transformation period. Passion for a collaborative way of working with our Business Areas and factories and the development of new energy solutions in a decarbonized way is a must.

Your focus is sustainable business opportunities like Industrial decarbonation, Power-to-X, electrification of our energy system and other opportunities that are both technically and financially profitable.

How You\\\'ll Make an Impact - Role & Responsibilities

• You match customer demands with the SE portfolio and strategy in your region and identify leads in close collaboration with the Heads of the local Business Areas in Switzerland.
• You tap new growth areas and develop a strong sales funnel and mature opportunities, including the organization of marketing activities

local exhibition, advertising etc. * You collaborate across regions in Hub Europe and with defined interfaces in the Business Areas, and you consult experts in the Hub/ Business Areas to qualify leads for bidding.

• You identify local value add elements and support the establishment of suitable business models.
• You establish close and trustful relations to your customers and design conceptional solutions for them to position Siemens Energy as early as possible.
• You manage the transparency of our Siemens Energy Sales Funnel and capture the leads and opportunities in the CRM system, driving the qualification of leads and turning them into high potential opportunities.
• You support the implementation and continuous improvement of an organizational framework and contribute to lessons learned from previous offers and projects.
• Your local workplace is in Switzerland - our offices are in the proximity of the city center in Zurich.

What You Bring

• You have a technical background such as an engineering degree with strong business or commercial experience.
• Solid technical understanding.
• Knowledgeable about relevant technologies of industrial processes and ways to decarbonize.
• Understanding of the economic drivers in decarbonization business cases.
• Interest in regulation and governmental affairs relevant to decarbonation projects across global markets.
• 5+ years of direct, proven experience in the industry, energy, oil & gas industry within a consulting or engineering environment.
• Proficient in German and English.
