Imperium Commodity Search is working with a diversified brokerage in Switzerland, looking to grow into new markets/products and identify areas to focus on. To assist in this growth, they are looking to bring in a market specialist with a broad experience of the European markets to work closely with the CEO on strategy/execution.

Responsibilities:

• Work directly with management to establish, plan and grow new products/market coverage
• Establish processes for due diligence and contingency mapping of new markets and where this could impact any venture into them (eg regulation changes on exchanges or product mix)
• Track and map existing portfolio, looking at trading volumes and potential utilisation, where paper/futures business fits into this and how well it is being utilised
• Work with internal staff on research/development of the business, looking at area's of concern and potential revenue growth
• Maintain relationships with exchanges and price reporting agencies
• Project manage the desk in terms of new markets and products, putting in place strategy roadmaps on timelines to first trade/clearing etc.
• Implement a strategy to build a desk and hand new markets over to brokers to build and maintain those relationships
• Establish reporting guidelines to follow across the business when looking at new opportunities/products to enter

Experience:

• 5+ years experience on futures/physical trading or brokerage
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with both internal and external stakeholders
• Key analytical skills/excel skills and mapping/analysis experience
• Strong network across the commodity markets
• Experience working with a senior management team
• Proven track record in overseeing a desk launch, growth and maintenance
