MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To research, identify, model, develop and implement specific business innovation initiatives/projects that result in the successful launch and commercialisation of new products, services and businesses. The intent is to rapidly incubate and commercialise new capabilities and business opportunities to respond to changing healthcare needs and diversify sources of future growth for the Company.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
  • Research, identify, model, develop and implement innovative and relevant products and services offerings with viable and commercialisable business models that satisfy the changing needs of health and care consumers in existing and future markets pertinent to the Company.
REQUIRED EDUCATION

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION:

Masters degree Health Science, Commerce, Business, Innovation, Law or equivalent advanced degree

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

5 - 7 years experience on healthcare innovation project conceptualisation and/ or implementation and/ or commercialisation

5 - 7 years experience in working within an Innovation hub, open innovation platform or R&D lab

Practical experience in the pillars of the 4IR

Fluency in German/ French/ Arabic are desired

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
  • Systems thinking with understanding of the interactions and interdependencies of business information and events on the operational level
  • Business modelling, business strategy, product and service design and development, innovation management, branding and communication, business transformation in a phygital context
  • Project and Portfolio Management
  • Quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
  • Ability to influence and persuade others to a new or different perspective through use of compelling data and insights
  • Expert in using design principles to tackle innovation challenges
  • Knowledge of country-specific healthcare regulatory requirements in the operating divisions
  • New Business development (e.g. business modelling, business strategy, product and service design and development, innovation management or business transformation)
  • Process Engineering
  • In-depth knowledge of and experience in either the SA, Swiss or European healthcare systems and/ or UAE healthcare systems
  • Experience with the running of innovation management suites
  • Pillars of the 4 IR
  • Computer Skills (MS Office suite)
