Construction & Facilities Buyer

. This position, based in MSC Geneva (GVA) Headquarters, will report directly into the Corporate Procurement office. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all construction and facilities procurement needs are met efficiently, cost-effectively, respecting the processes and procedures and in alignment with MSC's strategic objectives.


Key Responsibilities

Construction & Facilities Buyer

main tasks and key responsibilities are:


Manage end-to-end procurement processes for construction and facilities projects, including sourcing, tendering, negotiation, contract award, and supplier management. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery and cost optimization. Support project teams by identifying and selecting qualified suppliers, evaluating proposals, and ensuring compliance with MSC's procurement policies and standards. Conduct market analysis to identify potential suppliers, benchmark costs, and monitor industry trends relevant to construction and facilities management. Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms, pricing, and service levels in line with project requirements and corporate guidelines. Monitor supplier performance, resolve supply chain issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure timely delivery of materials and services to support construction schedules and operational needs. Prepare procurement reports, maintain records, and provide updates to the Corporate Procurement office.

Required Qualifications



+ Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
+ Proven experience (minimum 3-5 years) in procurement within the construction or facilities sector.
+ Proven expertise in Swiss public procurement procedures, Swiss Code of Obligation, SIA (Swiss Society of Engineers and Architects) standards and guidelines, and relevant cantonal and municipal regulations.
+ Strong negotiation, analytical, and project management skills.
+ Familiarity with construction contracts, supplier management, and procurement best practices.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
+ Fluency in English and French.
+ Proficient in MS Office Suite. Procurement and ERP systems, a plus.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities while demonstrating the flexibility needed to adapt processes and solutions within a large and dynamic organization.
