Work Location Remotely Expected duration 4 Aug to 4 Nov 2025 Duties and Responsibilities The consultant will perform the following tasks: -Conduct a mapping and analysis of the recommendations issued to countries in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region by the United Nations Human Rights Mechanisms (Universal Periodic Review, Treaty Bodies, Special Procedures and Independent Investigative Mechanisms of the Human Rights Council) related to good governance and corruption and the recommendations stemming from the Implementation Review Mechanism (IRM) of the United Nations Convention Against Corruption (UNCAC) for countries in the region. -Identify and analyse 4-10 key overlapping corruption themes/issues in the recommendations. -Draft a discussion paper that outlines and analyzes the overlapping recommendations, with the aim of circulating it among key stakeholders before an in-person regional dialogue. P -Per each theme, identify key states that received complementary recommendations and key points from the recommendations. Draft a narrative summary of each theme including a more in-depth analysis. -Develop proposed action points/recommendations for stakeholders attending the regional dialogue. -Design and facilitate the in-person regional dialogue, provisionally held in Egypt in October 2025 based on prior experience of a regional dialogue held in Kuala Lumpur in 2024. This will include developing a list of participants, a concept note, and a programme of work with the support and input of OHCHR and UNODC. -Draft a final project document that summarises the event and outlines whether and how its objectives were met. Identify and expand on key challenges, recommendations and next steps per each theme that were discussed during the workshop. Draft an overall conclusion that evaluates the workshop. -Participate in meetings hosted by OHCHR and UNODC related to the development of the documents and the dialogue. -Revise the drafts, following comments received by OHCHR and UNODC. -Finalize the document in collaboration with OHCHR and UNODC.
