Job Purpose
The Consumables & Accessories Developer is responsible for the design, development, and continuous improvement of consumables and accessories, including their integration into the overall system.
In this role, the developer ensures that these components meet all functional, safety, cost, and performance requirements while adhering to industry standards and addressing customer needs.
This position plays a key role across the entire product lifecycle--from conceptual design and prototyping to testing and manufacturing--ensuring that final products are efficient, reliable, and ready for market deployment.
Duties and Responsibilities

• Define and document technical and functional requirements for consumables and accessories
• Design new concepts, including the selection of suitable materials and manufacturing methods
• Create detailed specifications, components, and assemblies, including technical drawings using Autodesk Inventor (CAD)
• Develop and iterate prototypes for evaluation and testing
• Conduct simulations and real-world testing of prototype solutions, and compile supporting documentation
• Prepare clear and structured reports on development progress, test results, and design modifications
• Manage project timelines, ensuring alignment with development goals and milestones
• Support the development of test tools, benches, jigs, and rigs for verification and validation
• Troubleshoot issues related to consumables through hands-on testing and cross-functional collaboration
• Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with relevant industry standards, medical device regulations, and internal quality policies
• Stay informed about emerging technologies and trends relevant to consumables, materials, and manufacturing techniques

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
• Technical diplomas such as an Advanced Technician Diploma (or equivalent) in optics or mechanics may also be considered
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a regulated environment (e.g., medical devices, pharmaceuticals, automotive, or similar)
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a highly organized manner
• Initial experience in project management with successful outcomes
• Solid understanding of mechanical systems and kinematics
• Awareness of sustainability and cost-efficient production techniques
• Creative thinker with a hands-on mindset
• Strong technical aptitude and interest in 3D printing technologies
• Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to investigate and implement efficient mechanical solutions
• High level of motivation for continuous learning and self-improvement.
