Join Kuehne+Nagel as our new Head of Mergers & Acquisitions (f/m/d), based at our headquarters in Schindellegi. In this strategic role, you'll drive complex M&A transactions--from target evaluation to integration planning--while steering key initiatives such as divestments, spin-offs, and corporate restructurings. How you create impact


Assess, review or prepare target profiles together with Business or Functional Units Leads. Prepare profiles, documents and presentations for Management Board or Chairmans Committee and administrate the corresponding required approvals. Design and lead actively negotiation strategies in close coordination with BU/FU negotiators. Prepare non-binding offers, review binding agreements in alignment with legal department and BU/FU representatives and actively negotiate terms and conditions connected to M&A deals. Build appropriate valuation models and make recommendations for deal structures in alignment with Corporate Finance functions. Develop, maintain and implement the governance for M&A project management, due diligence processes and integration frameworks. Manage due diligence processes, ensure appropriate staffing of related workstreams and corresponding timelines. Oversee integration projects, provide project management framework and measure business case achievements.

What we would like you to bring


Master's degree in Finance & Accounting, complemented by a professional background or certification in M&A, law, legal services, or project management. 8 years minimum of experience in finance, including at least 5 years of senior stakeholder management and 3 years in international environments. Proven track record in M&A transactions, valuation modelling, equity accounting, and legal entity structuring. Strong analytical thinking, sound judgment, commercial acumen, and the ability to lead with a strategic mindset. Demonstrated leadership capabilities, team spirit, and experience working effectively in multicultural and cross-functional teams. Solid project management capabilities, excellent written and verbal communication, and strong negotiation skills. Willingness to travel and adapt to flexible working hours. Fluent language skills in English and German; additional languages are a plus.
