for a passionate Data Engineer with Data Architecture skills.

In the hybrid environment, you will help maintain existing pipelines, build new data pipelines

using modern cloud-native technologies and SaaS

, and shape the future of the enterprise data architecture. Our mission is for one of our clients

Your responsibilities:

As

a Data Engineer

at

Synechron Switzerland

, you will:

Design, implement, and maintain

robust data pipelines and enterprise data architectures, ensuring consistency, scalability, and alignment with business objectives.

Analyze, modernize, and optimize

existing data platforms and procedures, leveraging both on-premises and cloud-native technologies (e.g.,

AWS, Terraform, SaaS

).

Promote data governance policies

, including data quality, lineage, metadata management, and stewardship.

Lead the design and implementation

of conceptual, logical, and physical data models (e.g., star schema, data vault), and ensure best practices in data modeling across the organization.

Onboard and integrate

a variety of internal and external data sources, including structured, unstructured, and real-time data streams.

Prepare and deliver data models and solutions

to stakeholders, enabling advanced analytics, reporting, and machine learning initiatives.

Evaluate, select, and implement appropriate technologies and frameworks

for data storage, processing, and integration.

Qualifications

Your profile and skills:

You hold a

university degree in Computer Science or a related field

, or an equivalent qualification. You possess

proven experience in data engineering

, ideally within the

Private Asset or Hedge Fund sector

. You have

strong expertise in SQL

and experience with

Informatica PowerCenter

for maintaining and analyzing data pipelines. You are familiar with

cloud services, especially AWS

, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as

Terraform

. You have

knowledge of data governance tools and practices

(data catalog, lineage, stewardship). You have experience in

Python development

, specifically with data handling libraries such as

Pandas

and

dbt

. You understand

data integration patterns

(

ETL/ELT, streaming, batch

) and modern data platforms (e.g., lakehouse, data mesh). You are knowledgeable about

data security, privacy, and compliance

requirements. You demonstrate

strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

. You are a

team player

with

good interpersonal skills

. Fluency in

both spoken and written French

is

mandatory

, along with proficiency in

English

. You are a

resident of Switzerland

or willing to relocate.
