Developing statistical models that allow sensitive epidemiological data series to be published in a reliable and legally compliant way Reviewing and developing existing processes to identify methodological gaps and to harness approaches from statistics, data protection and SDC Drafting a set of publication guidelines that allows users and researchers to harmonise data protection and access and lays the foundation for future national standards Technically assessing and clearly documenting the effectiveness of the new methods, establishing their use, and providing sound justifications to internal and external stakeholders

University degree in statistics, data science, IT, maths or a related subject Demonstrable long-standing experience in the processing of sensitive data, as well as knowledge of data protection and statistical methods, preferably also in statistical disclosure control (SDC) or comparable methods for secure data publication Ability to translate challenging problems into clear and practical solutions, and to work with interdisciplinary teams to develop them Strong communication skills and an ability to process and document complex technical content in a way that is easy to understand, precise and tailored to the target audience A very good knowledge of one of Switzerland's official languages and English

As an innovation fellow, you will work on a central challenge facing the Federal Administration for one year, and will independently develop new approaches for more efficient services. You will work on topics with a direct impact, demonstrate tact and sensitivity when dealing with stakeholders, and at the same time benefit from an interesting environment, valuable contacts and genuine opportunities for autonomy and ownership.
