About the team you are joining



Part of the Information and Data (I&D) Division, Data Governance team works to define and implement state-of-the-art data practices within our organization to make data and analytics more accessible, trustworthy, and actionable. Our goal is to maximizes the investment in data and analytics initiatives by promoting the proper use of analytics in business processes, ensuring accurate insights based on quality data, reducing risks with security, and guiding the prioritization of projects so the right information is available at the right time.



What your day would be like



As a MDM Data Steward, you will:

Validate and operate changes to master data records. Monitor data quality metrics and resolve discrepancies. Ensure compliance with data standards, naming conventions, and business rules. Apply survivorship and hierarchy rules as defined by governance policies. Handle data requests (create, update, deactivate records) and collaborate with business units to resolve data conflicts. Investigate and correct data anomalies and escalate systemic issues to data governance leadership.Postgraduate degree in data science, statistics, computer science, engineering, or a related field.

4+ years of experience in master data management tools, data quality, or data governance roles, ideally within complex data ecosystems.

Strong understanding of business processes and master data domains (Customer, Product, Vendor).


Analytical skills for data validation and troubleshooting.

Familiarity with data pipeline orchestration and ETL/ELT tools such as Airflow, dbt, Talend.

Experience working with data catalog or governance platforms (e.g. Alation, Collibra, Ataccama) is a plus.

Fluency in English; other languages are a plus in IATA's international context.
