Job Description

For our client, a leading asset manager based in Geneva, we are seeking a Databricks Expert to support a major cloud-migration initiative. The role is part of the data transformation programme moving from Informatica PowerCenter to Databricks, within a global environment spanning Geneva, London, and Asia. You will contribute to data modernization, environment management, and pipeline development as the organisation prepares for full cloud deployment by 2026-2027. This position is a Try & Hire with a strong intention to convert into a permanent role. English is required; French is not necessary.

Key Responsibilities



Manage and develop within the Databricks environment Support the migration of data processing pipelines from Informatica to Databricks Perform data transformations using Python, SQL, and PySpark Work within an international data team (8-10 people in Geneva) Contribute to the AWS cloud strategy and next-year planning Develop APIs and support data-driven processes Provide technical reinforcement in a team with several senior members nearing retirement Interact with business stakeholders; financial industry knowledge is an advantage Minimum 2 years of experience in Databricks development Strong experience in Python, SQL, and PySpark Solid understanding of data pipelines and data architecture Experience in cloud environments, ideally AWS Technology-agnostic development mindset Nice to have: experience in the financial industry (funds management, segregated accounts, discretionary asset management) * Fluent in English
