: Desktop Support Engineer
Location: Basel
B2 Level German Language proficiency
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Engineer with strong experience in both
Mac OS or Windows environments
. The role involves providing technical assistance, troubleshooting, and support for hardware, software, and network-related issues. The candidate should be adept at managing end-user devices, ensuring smooth IT operations, and delivering high-quality customer support.Key Responsibilities:
Provide
first- and second-level technical support
for users on Mac and Windows platforms. Install, configure, and troubleshootoperating systems, applications, and hardware devices
. Maintain and supportperipherals
such as printers, scanners, and external drives. Supportemail clients, Office 365, VPN, and collaboration tools
(Zoom, Teams, etc.). Manageuser accounts, permissions, and access
through Active Directory / MDM solutions. Performsystem upgrades, patching, and regular maintenance
on desktops and laptops. Document incidents, troubleshooting steps, and solutions in the ticketing system. Collaborate with IT teams onnetwork, server, and security issues
as needed. Train and guide users on best practices for system use, security, and productivity tools.Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience. 2-4 years of
desktop support, ServiceDesk, End User Support, Deskside, IT manager, IT Admin, IT Support or IT helpdesk experience
. Strong hands-on knowledge ofMac OS (macOS) or Windows 10/11
troubleshooting. Experience withActive Directory, MDM tools (e.g., Jamf, Intune), and ticketing systems
(ServiceNow, Jira, etc.). Break- Fix exp is highly desiredPreferred Skills:
.Experience with
remote support tools
(TeamViewer, AnyDesk, Bomgar). IT certifications such asCompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST), or Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP)
are a plus.Job Type: 100%
Pay: CHF230.00 - CHF250.00 per day
