Job Overview
For our Lugano Office, we are looking for a DevOps Engineer with expertise in deploying Java/Spring Boot web applications, who will play a key role in building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines.
This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the automation, reliability, and scalability of CI/CD pipelines supporting a complex banking web application. You'll play a key role in enabling fast and secure delivery of Java/Spring Boot services, working at the intersection of development, infrastructure, and operations. Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline the build, test, and deployment lifecycle of web applications
• Manage and support the runtime environment of Java/Spring Boot microservices in containerized or virtualized environments
• Monitor application performance and health using Prometheus, Grafana, and other observability tools
• Troubleshoot deployment and runtime issues across dev, staging, and production environments
• Work closely with development teams to understand integration needs and ensure seamless delivery pipelines
• Maintain clear documentation and foster active collaboration with international teams and stakeholders

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience
• Proven experience deploying and configuring Java/Spring Boot web applications in CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with Java/Spring Boot programming is considered a strong advantage
• Proficient in core DevOps tools, such as GitHub, Jenkins, GitLab, etc.
• Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm)
• Solid Linux know-how and proficiency in Unix Shell scripting
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Location Requirement:

• We do not offer a fully remote work policy
• Candidates should be prepared to relocate to Canton Ticino (Switzerland)or Italian Border Towns (such as Como, Varese, etc.)
• Work-from-home days may be possible according to the Client's policy
