We are seeking a Master's-level intern to contribute to several advanced initiatives involving AI-driven perception, cloud-edge integration, and immersive visualisation. The intern(s) will work closely with experts in robotics, computer vision, and cloud technologies to design, develop, and deploy real-world solutions.
Potential Projects for internships:
Bolt detection and classification:
Develop AI algorithms to detect the presence or absence of bolts and classify them according to tightness or looseness, with real-time data integration into a cloud application.
Drone data automation:
Automate drone flight log analysis, integrating a warning mechanism to flag anomalies and continue development of the existing project pipeline.
Predictive maintenance:
Extend functionality with machine learning models to detect sensor or system defects.
AI from Cloud to Edge:
Streamline the migration and optimisation of existing cloud-based AI algorithms for execution on the drone's NVIDIA Jetson Orin platform.
3D gas visualisation:
Design and implement a method to represent gas sensor measurements in 3D, following the drone's flight trajectory and displaying the results in a cloud environment.
Virtual Reality collaboration:
Develop a
Microsoft Teams / Mesh plugin
using
Unity
to enable virtual meetings within immersive 3D representations of inspected assets.
