The International Olympic Committee is the guardian of the Olympic Games and the leader of the Olympic Movement.
A truly global organisation, it acts as a catalyst for collaboration between all Olympic stakeholders, including the athletes, the National Olympic Committees, the International Federations, Organising Committees for the Olympic Games, the Worldwide Olympic Partners and Olympic broadcast partners. About the role:
As the Direct Marketing Trainee you will be assisting the Direct Marketing campaigns that will allow us to engage and retain audiences during Games time and flame-to-flame periods. Additionally, you will also be supporting the team in planning the design, development and evolution of the wider IOC Direct Marketing strategy.
Your responsibilities:
Provide assistance to the Direct Marketing team by:
Supporting on the project management of the fan engagement programme
Supporting on the preparation of fan campaigns and team operational set-up for Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Games and Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games
Supporting on email campaigns and operations, including content selection and newsletter review, during the flame-to-flame periods
Analysing campaign data, drawing conclusions and preparing reports
Generally lending assistance when priorities dictate
Staying abreast of latest email marketing news, methodologies and adopt/adapt them to the evolving needs of the IOC
Our requirements
University qualification with an interest in digital marketing
English or French fluency, with excellent writing and speaking of the other language.
Ability to learn quickly how to use advanced software solution such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud
Knowledge of project management principles and ways of working.
Familiarity with teamwork, in terms of both managing the flow of files and communicating with colleagues.
Recognised and appreciated know-how and manners when dealing with different personalities.
Digitally savvy
Some understanding of digital tools, the latest trends and capabilities, including for the following:
+ Project Management tools (Asana and Slack)
+ Ability to anticipate problems and propose solutions.
+ Autonomy, sense of organisation and priorities.
+ Good ability to manage stressful situations and handle the unexpected. Accuracy, speed and reliability when executing tasks.
Ability to communicate and deal with people on a daily basis.
Good oral and written expression.
Ability to generate a working atmosphere where team spirit contributes to improving performances.
Excellent command of the "corporate" tools and follows the internal usage rules (OneDrive, Outlook, etc.).
