Director Of Data Science
Job Description
One of our clients in Biotech is looking for a Director of Data Science, in this role you will lead data science initiatives supporting clinical development, applying AI and advanced analytics.
Key Responsibilities
Drive data science strategy and AI adoption within clinical innovation programs.
Identify and address data gaps to support trial design and execution.
Evaluate and integrate internal/external data sources into platforms.
Lead design and implementation of machine learning solutions for clinical operations.
Collaborate across clinical teams, precision medicine, regulatory, and analytics functions.
Enhance data and AI literacy across the organization through training and engagement.
Ensure compliance with internal standards, GCP, and regulatory requirements.
Scout and assess emerging data science and AI technologies for clinical use.
Qualifications
PhD (required), Postdoc (preferred) in Data Science, Biostatistics, Computational Biology, or related field.
5+ years of experience in clinical research or drug development (industry or academic).
5+ years leading large-scale data science initiatives in pharma, biotech, or CRO settings.
Deep understanding of GCP, trial design, biostatistics, and regulatory frameworks.
Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and communicate complex concepts clearly.
