About the role and the team
Deutsche Bank intends to hire a highly accomplished Investment Sales Specialist to focus on cross-asset investment coverage of sophisticated UHNW clients and Family offices. The Sales Specialist will work closely with Relationship Managers and Investment Managers to provide UHNW/FO clients with a sophisticated service around capital markets, derivatives and structured solutions, including seamless execution.
This individual will bring a distinguished track record in trading and advising on tailored transactions with professional clients and will have deep knowledge of investment related platform capabilities in the wealth management industry. The ideal candidate will understand capital markets across asset classes and be able to navigate the product landscape together with other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leader Role as a Producer
Partnering up with IMs and RMs to serve eligible clients with a specialised service suitable to their specific needs; this entails direct client contact with advice and execution services
Acting as point of contact for eligible clients' that require access to a sophisticated Family Office trading service on: Listed Equity Derivatives, Cash Equities, FX (Spot/Fwd/swap/light exotics/exotics), Credit Derivatives and Rate Derivatives
Providing comprehensive client service regarding Capital Markets activity (market colour, trade origination, position/life-cycle management)
Owning all derivatives trade/portfolio related tasks of a client including credit risk calculations, position and collateral monitoring, oversight of bookings etc.
Collaborating closely with key internal partners, including Legal, Compliance, Risk, and the Investment Bank
Understanding and assessing all business and transaction related risks, including market-risks, credit-risks, operational-risks, and reputational-risks
Achieving capital markets revenue targets
Required Profile
Proven experience in derivatives with strong technical knowledge and understanding of Capital Markets
Proven managerial responsibilities
10+ years of relevant investment experience (must have had at least 5+ years in client facing coverage role in a multi-asset capacity; balance can be in a relevant investment role (example: Portfolio Manager/Investment Advisor/Institutional Sales Trader) (including at least 5+ years within Wealth Management)
Fluent in delivering a capital market outlook from both an investment strategist's view (i.e., top down) and a manager's view (i.e., bottom up) with a view of generating alpha via a sophisticated approach to trading
Good knowledge of Bloomberg and Microsoft office programs
CFA, MBA degree or other advanced degree a plus
Detailed technical derivatives knowledge
Strong team player - willing and able to work under pressure, being able to prioritize tasks
Works fast with utmost precision even under pressure, error-free and under own initiative
Positive, outgoing, and open-minded personality
Foundational understanding of and respect for applicable legal and regulatory concepts, incl. cross-border frameworks and requisite local requirements
Strong interest in financial markets, continually learning and staying ahead of new developments
Strong communication skills (verbally and in written) in English. Other languages are beneficial
Experienced with various electronic trading platforms
Extensive experience with working with Legal, Compliance and Regulatory requirements associated with the role
Ability to understand client needs and tailor the trade idea generation service accordingly
Ability to introduce existing client relationships considered a plus
