Duties and Responsibilities
As DJ, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation in the following:
Curate and perform live DJ sets aligned with the mood, time of day, and guest demographics.
Design and update playlists for various spaces (restaurant, bar, lounge) based on brand ethos and current trends.
Adapt music in real time based on guest energy, feedback, and flow of the venue.
Ensure seamless setup, calibration, and breakdown of all sound equipment.
Coordinate with the F&B and Events teams to align musical programming with special experiences, themes, or guest celebrations.
Operate and monitor sound levels to comply with local regulations and ensure guest comfort.
Integrate lighting or visual effects (where applicable), in coordination with the technical team, to enhance performance.
Maintain all audio and DJ equipment in optimal condition; report issues promptly.
Propose innovative musical experiences or concepts (e.g., sunrise sessions, themed nights, live remix experiences).
Respect music licensing requirements and copyrights in accordance with property and brand standards.
Ensure personal grooming and appearance reflects Six Senses' premium and approachable style.
Respect guest privacy and maintain discretion during interactions.
Support other entertainment and experience initiatives as directed.
Participate in team meetings, wellness activities, and cross-functional collaboration.
Qualifications
To execute the position of DJ, I must have a proven experience in live DJ performance within luxury hospitality, high-end venues, or events.
A versatile musical repertoire and deep knowledge of various genres to suit diverse audiences.
Ability to read and respond to audience energy in real-time.
Technical proficiency in DJ software/hardware (e.g., Pioneer, Serato, Rekordbox, Traktor).
Basic troubleshooting skills for audio equipment and sound systems.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a guest-focused mindset.
Familiarity with Six Senses' brand identity and willingness to create music experiences that reflect its spirit.
Fluent in French & English
EU or Swiss Passport
