The Position

FOCUS AREA FOR THIS POSITION: PT (Pharma Technical) FP&A

At Roche our Finance Centers of Excellence - including CoFI, FinEx, NExT, FC CoE, and CoRE - have led the way in breaking down silos, removing hierarchies, and working in new ways. Now is the time to build on those learnings, shifting from a divisional/functional approach to an enterprise approach with an Enterprise Center of Excellence (eCoE).

The eCoE will focus on three areas delivering a high-level of financial expertise, innovative insights, and an entrepreneurial mindset that enables agility and flexibility for stakeholders. The eCoE will be a talent engine for Finance through capability building and network building.

There are three focus areas within eCoE:

  • Financial Backbone
  • Digital Innovation
  • Analytics and Insights
While there are three focus areas and clusters, we are not seeking to create silos. We are looking for individuals who display the Finance Mindset & Behaviors, and will support a living organism that will leverage the business knowledge and financial expertise of the network to deliver exceptional results for Finance and Roche. Team members will partner with RSS, FEPs and the Business to deliver many of Finance\'s core processes and deliverables while also driving process scaling/simplification/harmonization and progressing our digital ambition. Ensuring business continuity is a must.

FOCUS AREA FOR THIS POSITION: PT (Pharma Technical) FP&A

As a member of eCoE you will bring a strong technical expertise (relative to your experience) together with the ability to work in a self-aligning team with minimal hierarchy. You will be a catalyst for the Finance transformation and work effectively as an influencer, and leaning in as coach and catalyst to the Finance network as needed. You have a passion to pilot new approaches and constructively challenge the status quo. You can tolerate ambiguity.

In this role, your main focus area will be PT (Pharma Technical) FP&A. As a member of the PT HQ eCoE consolidation squad, you will be mainly responsible for the consolidated COGS and period cost for actual and forecast events. As part of this role, you will review the results and finalize the monthly consolidation process. You will also analyse and communicate the actual and forecast results to the Head of PT Finance and Division Finance teams. You will be a key SPOC for the Head of PT Finance working closely on various matters impacting PT financial results. In addition, you will play a PT Finance SPOC role to Group and Division Finance stakeholders as well.

Further responsibilities
  • Work closely with PT Finance Enterprise Partners on monthly PTLT financial communication, MTO and TO events on the overall PT storyline
  • Be a subject matter expert on relevant accounting topics
  • Provide Product COS support as part of the Pharma Division forecasting and planning processes
  • Lead the PT related topics for external audit, control the PT relevant Group Restructuring Plans (GRPs) and be a key member of the Inventory Allowance squad as well as RSS SPOC for all P2D related processes
  • Be a product owner for PT Roadmap transferring work from PT FEP / eCoE PT / Sites Finance to RSS
In this role, you are expected to connect the information received through various channels and analyze the impacts in PT Financials and beyond and communicate such to PT Finance head and other stakeholders where necessary.The enterprise view looking beyond the PT will be a significant success factor for this role.

The key skills include:
  • At least 5-10 years experience in multinational financial consolidation environment
  • Strong knowledge around manufacturing finance especially in consolidation related to COGS and Inventory
  • Strong knowledge around IFRS, ACCA or CPA preferred
  • Experience with internal controls and external audit is preferred
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with various levels and groups of stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and curiosity that is inspirational to others
  • Proven technical, collaboration and influencing skills
  • Ability to navigate through a complex, broad and diverse organization
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
