About the Role:
The Executive Medical Director, MD, Psychiatry (Basel) is responsible for providing medical oversight of clinical programs in the Psychiatry therapeutic area for Europe. The Executive Medical Director will help lead the strategy, planning, and execution of the clinical development plan, including Phase 1 to 4 clinical studies in collaboration with cross-functional project team members, including clinical operations, clinical pharmacology, Data Sciences, regulatory, drug safety/pharmacovigilance. Leverage clinical and scientific expertise to provide strategic guidance across the drug development pipeline.

Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to):Provide medical leadership and oversight of Phase 1 and 4 clinical studies in psychiatric indications in Europe. Working closely with the CRO and the CRAs to ensure investigators are conducting studies in line with the clinical development plan, provide guidance and answer any questions relating to the study. Oversee clinical trials in alignment with SOPs, GCP, and regulatory requirements. Medical assessment and disposition of adverse events (in conjunction with Drug Safety physician)and safety evaluation of clinical compounds prior to and during ongoing clinical studies. Oversee the clinical trials program in conjunction with the Clinical Operations team including site collaborations, visits etc Building and maintaining good, professional relationships with all investigator site staff. Data analytics and sciences review to enhance compliance and signal detection Analyze, interpret, and present clinical study results to internal and external stakeholders. Partner with Medical Affairs and KOLs to expand collaborations and disseminate trial outcomes.

Requirements:
Typical Experience or Education:MD/DO AND 6+ years of experience with a combination of clinical practice experience or related pharmaceutical consulting capacity. OR Preferred experience: Clinical Practice experience in Psychiatry
