Job Description

Imperium Commodity Search is looking for experienced fertilizer traders with a strong knowledge of the South / East African markets to join a growing international trading house in Switzerland.
Responsibilities:

• Increase sales channels in East / South Africa across commodity fertilizer products (nitrates, phosphates, potash etc.)
• Manage relationships with farms and agricultural producers to build out sales lines of fertilizer/fertiliser products across potash, nitrates and phosphates
• Stay up to date with market movements/insights to capitalise on trading opportunities in a timely fashion
• Work closely with operations/logistics partners to facilitate smooth back to back trading into the African continent
• Develop relationships and meet with clients to understand requirements and match technical/complex fertilizer products to specific agro needs

Experience:

• 3+ years experience in African market fertilizer business
• A strong network of sales side clients in Africa for the sale of traditional/commodity fertilizer products (nitrates, phosphates, potash etc)
• Good understanding of the technical details of fertilizer products and their applications
• Previous track record of building and maintaining relationships in the East and South African regions
