Field & Production Engineer
to strenghthen our Engineering department. You will be part of the

OUR TECHNOLOGY
Each BE WTR production site operates a fully automated washing, filling, and capping line, designed for food-grade and beverage manufacturing standards.
The process includes:
Industrial bottle washers (detergent wash, rinse, disinfection, and final rinse);
Volumetric filling and capping systems;
CO? saturators, chillers, neutralization systems, and flow-controlled utilities.
This environment involves fluid dynamics, chemistry, and microbiology, and requires compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety standards.
YOUR MISSION
As a Field & Production Engineer, you will drive the global expansion and optimization of BE WTR's water treatment and production facilities. You will commission new plants and machinery worldwide, ensuring each site meets technical requirements and delivers reliable, high-quality performance.
Working closely with local teams and suppliers, you will also troubleshoot and optimize automated production lines to enhance efficiency, process stability, and quality -- targeting an OEE of 85-90%. This role requires approximately 50% international travel and close collaboration across diverse technical environments.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Commissioning of Plants:
Carry out the commissioning process for new water treatment plants, ensuring all machinery and processes are installed and fully operational.
Water Treatment and Machine Setup:
Follow the hydraulic work for water treatment, make the installation of industrial machinery from mechanical and electrical point of view. Ensure proper layout, cabling, and setup of washing, filling, and bottling systems and all the machineries that compose the entire plant.
Quality and Process Validation:
Execute FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing), SAT (Site Acceptance Testing), IQ (Installation Qualification), OQ (Operational Qualification), PQ (Performance Qualification), and full process validation for all installations. Provide training to the operators and make sure to give to the local production team a turn key plant, with parameter setup properly and the machineries up and running.
Supplier Management:
collaborate with machine suppliers and the internal R&D / Equipment Development Team to design and implement robust engineering solutions.
Monitor and analyze the performance
of production equipment remotely (via HMI).
Troubleshoot issues
in real time, identifying root causes across mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, or software domains.
Support production operators
remotely to quickly resolve stoppages, quality deviations, or performance drops.
Perform Pareto and root-cause analyses
on recurring failures to define long-term improvement actions.
Drive continuous improvement
initiatives to enhance throughput, process stability, and operator usability.
Evaluate whether
on-site interventions
are required and travel within 72 hours when necessary
Ensure all activities
comply with GMP, food-grade, and safety standards.
Travel Requirements:
Willingness to travel internationally approximately
50% of the time
to oversee plant commissioning, factory selection and perform on-site interventions.
YOUR PROFILE
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or similar field) or equivalent experience
Proven experience in machine commissioning and plant start-up processes, preferably in the water treatment, bottling or beverage industry.
Background in Production, Process, or Industrial Engineering (degree preferred, but not mandatory with proven technical experience).
Strong hands-on technical aptitude in troubleshooting complex automated systems.
Solid understanding of fluid systems, pressure/flow control, and process instrumentation.
Strong knowledge of PLC automation, HMI interfaces, and electromechanical systems.
Experience with industrial machinery for washing, filling and bottling is a significant advantage.
Familiarity with FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ, PQ and process validation
Analytical mindset: ability to interpret data and define clear corrective actions.
Good communication skills to interact with operators, suppliers, and cross-functional teams..
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems and processes.
Strong communication skills to work effectively with global teams and suppliers.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, international environment.
