The Field Service Engineer is a unique opportunity to gain a first experience in a big multinational organization as a service technician responsible for software-controlled systems, as well as new technologies and environments. A Day in the Life
  • Install, operate, maintain, repair and modify equipment
  • Perform a variety of maintenance and technical support for equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer sites and/or on-site
  • Analyze and evaluate products and their performance
  • Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics to resolve issues in the shortest possible time
  • Maintain effective customer communication and relationships
  • Conduct technical presentations at sales meetings and customer sites/ hold training sessions for customers
  • Provide technical advice to customers, sales staff and medical professionals on product related questions, problems and issues
  • Provide sales staff with technical data required for product demonstrations
  • Liaise between sales staff and customers on technical issues
  • Provide technical support by telephone or via remote technology
Must Haves
  • Training in electrical engineering
  • Knowledge of mechatronics, including electromechanical systems, control electronics, digital control systems (1-2 years)
  • Understanding of complex systems
  • Ability to manage and solve problems
  • Knowledge of large-scale systems, ideally in a medical environment
  • Ability to work independently with excellent problem solving skills
  • Fluent German and very good English, both written and spoken
  • Strong communication skills
  • A customer-orientated mindset
Nice to Haves
  • Ability to find your way around software-controlled systems
  • Enthusiastic and fast learner for new technologies and new environments
  • Creative thinking with a self-motivated mindset
  • Commitment to success and the will to achieve goals
