This position entails guiding the Global FP&A and Business Unit teams during the transition from two separate entities into a single, streamlined reporting unit following the integration and merger of DSM and Firmenich. In this capacity, you will play a key role in facilitating the consolidation process, refining reporting procedures, defining key performance indicators (KPIs), aligning master data, and identifying opportunities for value creation by implementing the best practices from both organizations.

Furthermore, this role will develop a vision for the evolution of reporting requirements, moving towards a more harmonized and standardized reporting suite compared to the current state. Additionally, it will involve exploring potential technological advancements that could enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of reporting activities.

Your key responsibilities
  • Facilitate and enhance the ongoing exchange and monitoring of legacy processes and systems, ensuring their seamless transition into a unified and accountable framework. This applies across actuals consolidation, planning and outlook, as well as long-term planning, which includes cash projections.
  • Ensure the smooth rollout of systems and processes by monitoring their progress, defining clear roles, and establishing predefined success criteria and timelines. When necessary, aid and ensure successful process delivery, while also gaining a comprehensive understanding of any outstanding issues.
  • Collaborate closely with the PMO lead, Finance and Processes head, and other key members of the Finance Leadership Team to address transition and integration matters effectively.
  • Assist all other functional teams in comprehending FIR Legacy topics, such as those related to mergers and acquisitions (M&A), joint ventures (JV), and more.

You bring
  • A Bachelor\\\'s or master\\\'s degree in finance, Economics, Business, or Accounting is required.
  • A minimum of 20 years of international experience in an FP&A setting, encompassing a deep understanding of FP&A and financial concepts, along with a demonstrable track record in budgeting, consolidation, and long-range planning.
  • Extensive experience in regional business partnering, preferably within the Food & Beverage and Perfumery/Beauty sectors. Proficiency in comprehending the intricacies of organic growth and mergers and acquisitions, coupled with a proven background in providing financial support in commercial and supply chain environments.
  • Relevant international work history spanning various regions, fluency in multiple languages, and a keen awareness of cultural nuances that are vital for effective change management during merger-related initiatives.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities, demonstrated by a commitment to intellectual rigor.
  • Established expertise in modeling techniques and managing extensive datasets, as well as proficiency in IT tools and allocation methodologies.
