Finance Transformation Manager (m/w/d)

Job Description

For our client, a leading company in the telecommunications sector, we are currently seeking an experienced Finance Transformation Manager.
This role is ideal for a strategic, hands-on professional who excels at bridging finance, technology, and business operations.
Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage end-to-end finance transformation projects, from target operating model design through to full implementation
  • Ensure delivery on time, within budget, and in line with defined objectives. Minimum of five years of relevant experience required
  • Analyse current-state finance processes (e.g., Plan-to-Perform, Record-to-Report) to identify inefficiencies and design optimized future-state processes using best practices and modern technologies
  • Act as the primary interface between the Finance function, business units, and external vendors. Ensure clear communication, alignment, and strong stakeholder buy-in for all transformation initiatives
  • Design and execute change management strategies to support the adoption of new processes and systems. Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for finance users
Your Profile:
  • Strong ability to translate finance strategy into actionable project plans and practical solutions, combined with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Comprehensive understanding of finance operating models, core accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes
  • Several years of experience managing large-scale, enterprise-wide projects using formal project management methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile
  • Hands-on experience with financial systems such as SAP S/4 and financial planning and analytics tools
  • Good understanding of key technologies shaping finance transformation, including predictive analytics, agentic AI, and data visualisation tools
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and influence decision-making across all levels of the organisation
  • Fluent in English, German is a big plus
