As Financial Close Readiness Manager, you will drive the preparation and coordination of major go-lives across Finance, ensuring that system or process change lands safely within the close cycle. Your role is to protect the stability, auditability, and efficiency of the quarterly close, while enabling strategic Finance transformation. You will connect the dots between project delivery, operational readiness, and audit expectations--working hands-on with stakeholders across Finance, IT, and external Audit.
About the Role
You will ensure that readiness activities are clearly structured and consistently delivered: from tracking testing evidence and validating training, to preparing go/no-go decision materials and audit documentation. You will also contribute to the design of frameworks and tools that strengthen how readiness is planned, reviewed, and communicated.
Key responsibilities include:
Develop and maintain quarterly cutover plans and close readiness calendars
Align timing of key testing phases and change windows with broader transformation and Business as Usual (BAU) timelines
Coordinate with IT, project managers, change leads and Finance owners to track readiness deliverables
Validate completion of User Accaptence Test (UAT), regression testing, training and documentation updates
Prepare structured, audit-compliant evidence packs for changes going into production
Monitor risks, escalate open items and facilitate executive go/no-go decisions
Communicate upcoming and implemented changes to senior stakeholders and external auditors
Contribute to continuous improvement of readiness tools, templates, and governance routines
About the Team
We are a small, focused team with a clear mission: to ensure the IFRS close process remains stable and reliable, even as Finance systems and processes evolve. We help land changes in a controlled, timely, and transparent way--making sure they are ready for audit and fit for operations. Acting as a bridge between change delivery and Finance execution, we connect strategy with day-to-day readiness and make sure nothing gets lost between design and go-live.
About You
You are an excellent coordinator with a strong Finance background, programme coordination capabilities, and a governance-aware mindset. You thrive in complex environments, aligning cross-functional stakeholders and planning across multiple quarters to enable transparent, risk-aware delivery.
Essentials:
10+ years of senior-level experience in financial reporting, close processes, and accounting under IFRS
Strong coordination and planning skills, with experience managing dependencies across Finance, IT, and transformation portfolios
Demonstrated experience working with external auditors and navigating change governance frameworks
Solid grasp of testing and deployment practices including UAT, regression testing, and cutover planning
Proven ability to structure and communicate readiness status, risks, and decisions to senior stakeholders
Degree in Finance Accounting, or related field; CPA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification is an advantage
