Main Purpose of the Job




As FP&A Business Partner at Biosynth, you will act as a strategic finance advisor to our commercial and operational teams turning financial insights into business actions.

Youll bridge the gap between Finance and the wider business, using analysis to drive performance, influence strategic decisions, and identify opportunities for growth and efficiency.


This is a highly visible, forward-looking role at a PE-backed company that works closely with leaders across multiple functions and international sites. Youll help shape strategy, support commercial initiatives, and ensure decisions are grounded in strong financial insight.


Responsibilities




Partner with business leaders across Commercial, Operations, R&D, and Supply Chain to support strategic and operational decision-making. Translate complex financial data into actionable insights that drive business performance and profitable growth. Develop business cases for new initiatives, investments, and commercial opportunities. Provide scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to inform key strategic choices. Challenge assumptions constructively and support the business in achieving financial and operational goals. Monitor key KPIs, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities driving proactive action. Collaborate with the wider FP&A and Accounting Teams to ensure high-quality forecasting, budgeting, and performance reporting. Support continuous improvement in financial processes, reporting tools, and data-driven decision-making. Lead discussions on pricing, margin improvement, and resource allocation to optimise returns. Contribute to strategic planning cycles, long-range forecasting, and performance reviews. Act as a trusted advisor building credibility, influence, and financial understanding across the organisation.

Clear, actionable recommendations to improve commercial and operational performance. Strategic and financial input into business cases, investment appraisals, and commercial negotiations. Effective communication of financial insights to non-finance stakeholders. Forecasting and performance tracking aligned with business objectives. Demonstrable impact on profitability, cash flow, and efficiency.

Essential Candidate Requirements




University degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting. Professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent). Minimum 5 years experience in a finance role with exposure to FP&A or business partnering. Proven ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders in a cross-functional environment. SAP experience Strong commercial acumen and understanding of drivers of business performance. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to distil complex information into clear messages. Skilled communicator confident working with both financial and non-financial audiences. Experience working in an international or matrix organisation. Fluent in English.

Desirable Candidate Requirements




Experience in life sciences, chemicals, or related manufacturing sectors. Power BI or similar data visualisation tools. Exposure to private equitybacked environments. Additional European language skills (e.g., German, Dutch).

Working Model




This role is offered on a hybrid basis (2-3 days a week on site), with some travel required to other Biosynth sites as needed.
