Job Description

Full-time nanny on a rota basis Native Spanish or English speaker - to start immediately - family living between Geneva and Crans Montana

High degree of flexibility required for travel abroad and occasional overnight stays

Hours according to schedule and travel on a rota basis with the other nanny, either: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. or 12 p.m./3.30 p.m. to 8 p.m. rota in Geneva 3 days/4 days (including weekends every other week)

During travel, the schedule will be different and established in advance.

The child is 3 years old

A driving licence is ideal

Salary: CHF 6,000 gross/month

Respect each child's rhythms

by ensuring regular meal times; by ensuring sufficient rest periods in a suitable environment; by monitoring screen use (television, smartphones, tablets, smartwatches, etc.).
Respect the child's needs

by providing a play area and appropriate, varied toys; by offering stimulating and varied activities, adapted to their age, to actively teach and promote their physical and intellectual development; by allowing them to engage in motor activities; by ensuring adequate personal care: changing, hand washing, tooth brushing, etc.; by offering balanced and varied meals and helping them to eat; by ensuring continuous, high-quality care; by using rich language that is appropriate for children; by helping them to develop their skills and independence; by avoiding unnecessary noise;
By completely refraining from any humiliating punishment or corporal punishment.

Respect safety and hygiene standards

By regularly maintaining play areas and bedrooms; By being attentive to household hazards; By never leaving children alone without adult supervision; by driving children to school, ensuring that the vehicle is equipped with child seats or booster seats that comply with current standards; by never leaving children alone with animals; by undertaking to ensure that no one smokes in the home in the presence of
children;

by taking a first aid kit with you when you go out; by undertaking never to consume alcohol or cigarettes during working hours; by taking out civil liability insurance that also covers the risks associated with keeping animals (particularly dogs).
Establishing good relations with parents

by getting to know and respecting the child's habits and the instructions given by the parents as much as possible; by carefully organising the terms of the placement; by discussing the child's development, achievements and skills; by sharing information with parents about how the day went; by complying with data protection legislation: publishing photos of children in the childminder's care on a blog, website, Facebook page, etc. is prohibited.
Other duties:

Preparing meals for the child and family; Cleaning and tidying the house, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, living room and living areas; Doing laundry and ironing; Walking the dog; Shopping and other household tasks, helping with daily chores, especially when travelling.
