Brief Call:

Our process typically begins with a brief virtual/phone conversation to get to know you! The objective? Learn about you, understand your motivations, and make sure we have the right job for you!



Interviews (the average number of interviews is 3 - the number may vary depending on the level of seniority required for the position). During the interviews, you will meet people from our team: your line manager of course, but also other people related to your future role. We will talk in depth about you, your experience, and skills, but also about the position and what will be expected of you. Of course, you will also get to know Amaris: our culture, our roots, our teams, and your career opportunities!

Case study:

Depending on the position, we may ask you to take a test. This could be a role play, a technical assessment, a problem-solving scenario, etc.

Job description



We are looking for a GDPR Senior Consultant to join our team in Switzerland !

Your responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Vision



Develop and drive a global data protection strategy and vision aligned with business objectives.

Lead privacy transformation and maturity enhancement initiatives for our customer.

Serve as a subject matter expert and ultimate escalation point for data protection compliance.

Participate in executive committees and cross-functional governance bodies for privacy and AI compliance.



Global Privacy Program Management



Oversee the implementation and optimization of the OneTrust privacy management platform.

Design and maintain enterprise-wide privacy governance frameworks, policies, and standard processes.

Expand the privacy program scope to cover all high-risk business functions.

Monitor the global regulatory landscape and advise on compliance response strategies.



Team Development & Capacity Building



Lead and develop a central privacy specialist team.

Build organizational privacy capability through structured training and development programs.

Foster a global data protection community through regular engagement initiatives (newsletters, community calls, workshops).

Implement stakeholder management strategies for global functional alignment and priority setting.



Operational Excellence



Provide expert consultation on complex data protection questions and privacy impact assessments.

Lead incident response and crisis management for data breaches and cybersecurity incidents.

Oversee data subject rights management and response processes.

Drive continuous improvement of privacy operations through technology optimization and process enhancement.



Training & Awareness



Develop and execute comprehensive privacy training strategies, including mandatory awareness programs.

Create function-specific training content tailored to business unit requirements.

Establish metrics and reporting frameworks for training effectiveness and compliance monitoring.

Your profile:

Educational background in law, information security, data governance, or a related field.

Several years of experience in privacy program management, regulatory compliance, or data governance.

Strong technical expertise in GDPR and global privacy regulations (CCPA, LGPD, PIPEDA, etc.).

Experience with privacy technology platforms (OneTrust implementation and optimization).

Proficiency in data mapping, privacy impact assessments, and risk management frameworks.

Knowledge of AI governance and related compliance (EU AI Act).

Demonstrated leadership in global privacy program development and execution.

Experience in cross-functional stakeholder management and team development.

Strong communication skills for senior stakeholder engagement and reporting.

Experience in incident response, crisis management, and process optimization.

Ability to develop and deliver training programs.

Regulatory monitoring and compliance advisory skills.

Clean criminal record required for the job.

Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.

Salary range:

120,000 to 130,000 CHF per year
