About the Role
We are looking for a Cocoa Pricing and Position Manager to join our team that will lead for the execution of the cocoa pricing based on global customer agreements. You'll collaborate closely with internal teams and external customers, aligning on pricing, guiding regional pricing teams, and ensuring flawless contract execution. Your expertise will help translate complex market dynamics into clear, trusted pricing outcomes - and you'll be the go?to partner when customers need clarity, negotiation or support.
Key Responsibilities include
Quote prices for ad-hoc requests for assigned customers with supply agreements
Align prices with relevant internal stakeholders (cocoa traders, chocolate pricing, sales), send them to customers and follow up and instruct contract bookings
Finding solutions and reply to new pricing requests of the customers/sales teams, for example for new products, change of products (origins, certifications, NPD's) or for new flows
Being responsible for ensuring profitability of such new pricings in BC Cocoa (in cooperation with controlling, finance, sales) for new customer agreements or renewal of existing customer agreements
Work on continuous process improvement/simplifications (contract bookings, production flows, internal role and responsibilities)
Create internal visibility and common understanding on flows and ways of working with the assigned customers (agreement execution) as well as role of each party involved in the execution of the agreement
Calculate yearly sales volumes and calculate yearly rebate/penalty to customer based on agreement, send and negotiate, if necessary, with customer
Inform all relevant stakeholders at the right time to ensure smooth rebate/penalty execution (accrual, payout/credit)
Organize and manage regular customer meetings to build a strong connection with the customer, which facilitates the overall business and execution of the Long Term Agreements
As a specialist regarding the customer pricing agreements, support sales team with all questions regarding pricing, contracting, governance of pricing agreement and contract execution
Actively manage contract portfolio of the assigned cocoa customers with pricing agreements (regular contract extensions, contract balance reconciliation, contract changes etc.), including the respective inter-company contracts and including terminal market switches of the differentials
Annual cost updates for the global pricing agreements (transformation fees, transport costs, yields, financing costs, etc.) in cooperation with pricing & controlling teams in all regions
About You
5 years of work experience in commodity trading, sales, pricing or risk management
Ability to work well independently in addition to being a strong team player
Strong communicator who is fluent in English
Sound Microsoft Knowledge
Basic SAP knowhow is an advantage
Ability to collect, interpret and analyze data using the network, BW and other systems
Cocoa market knowhow including future market, different bean origins, cocoa product knowhow and how cocoa pricing works
Understanding of logistics like incoterms, contract terms how the supply chain works and knowhow on global cocoa flows
