\\n The Global Communication Leader, Janssen Supply Chain (JSC) serves as the lead communications counselor to the JSC and Advanced Therapies Supply Chain (ATSC) organizations. This role works to increase internal and external awareness of Janssen\\\'s supply chain as a world leader in the biopharmaceutical industry, developing the overall communication strategy, messaging platform, and creative assets. The leader will work closely with Janssen\\\'s Global Head of Supply Chain and as a member of the JSC Leadership Team, advising and counseling leaders on advancing the organization\\\'s narrative across internal and external channels. Bringing a global view and leading a team of communications experts, the Communication Leader works to shape how Janssen Supply Chain engages to impact reputational and business objectives.
  • Shape and oversee execution of global communications strategy to support operations across the end-to-end Janssen supply chain (Plan, Source, Make, Deliver) and multiple manufacturing platforms (large molecule, small molecule, advanced therapies, and external supply), therapy areas (value chain), and all regions. Engage internal leaders and employees by shaping and delivering messaging that JSC is supplying hope and pioneering solutions to deliver better health. Engage key external stakeholders through targeted media outreach, external thought leadership and executive visibility designed to support the Janssen vision of creating a future where disease is a thing of the past. Provide strategic counsel to Global Head of JSC and other key leaders, ensuring strong executive presence and impactful messages.
  • Lead communications activities to support Advanced Therapies Supply Chain organization (autologous, gene therapies etc.). A member of the leadership team, this role includes developing and overseeing execution of plans to support build out of the organization, leader communications, external visibility to drive awareness and recruitment, and issues management. Manage critical organizational communication drive understanding of and engagement in the business strategy.
  • Oversee internal communications activities to support and motivate, energize, and engage employees around key business objectives and in pursuit of the JSC vision. Engage senior leaders as communicators to drive awareness and understanding of JSC strategy and educate the broader Janssen organization about the critical role of supply chain in bringing innovative medicines to patients.
  • Coach and help develop communications team members. Build a high performing team, strengthen capabilities across the function and drive a continuous improvement mindset. Foster an engaged culture of collaboration, accountability, customer focus, and quality.
Qualifications

Required Minimum Education: Bachelor\\\'s in communication or related field

Required Years of Related Experience: Minimum 15 years in communication or related field
  • Successful record of working in a global function and matrixed environment, with direct experience of leading international projects, issues, and teams. Success in leading both internal and external communication initiatives
  • Demonstrated knowledge of pharmaceutical or supply chain communications, in addition to product development, commercialization, and the pharmaceutical industry
  • Strong business acumen and demonstrated ability to build relationships with senior leaders. Proven experience with providing communications counsel and support to senior company executives and leading communications to support significant organizational transformation
  • Ability to lead, motivate and coach teams, external agencies, and individuals. Proven track record of strong people leadership and building dynamic teams
  • Proven record in driving earned media opportunities and speaker engagements and managing issues, knowledge of digital engagement and emerging methods/technologies in communications
  • Ability to handle competing, high priority demands, navigate complexity and ambiguity prioritizing workload, leading projects and multiple responsibilities against deadlines. Requires high degree of independent judgment and decision making
. \\xe2\\x80\\xa2 Strong experience in crisis/issues management and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global matrix environment is required.
  • Experience leading communications initiatives to support organizational change.
  • Deep understanding of traditional media, digital and social platforms and strong experience dealing with national and local general, professional/trade and social media is required.
