Your Responsibilities
As a Global Product Specialist and Team leader, you will be part of the Creation Design and Development (CD&D) that is responsible for Additives and Ingredients for the ADM Animal Nutrition business. You will be the person leading and managing the team for the palatants and biotics portfolios. Your responsibilities will include:Team Leadership: Allocate team resources to meet deliverables in a timely manner. Set the global palatants and biotics teams pillars and priorities ensuring alignment with those of CD&D leadership; manage and develop team talent.
Technical leadership: Provide and/or oversee technical support and training on the global portfolio of palatants and biotics for customer-facing colleagues and customers. Enable team members to stay updated on industry trends, new developments and technological advancements related to animal nutrition palatants and biotics; oversee, lead or participate in the development of technical communications to support the global palatants and biotics portfolio.
Strategic support: Act as the global technical specialist for strategic projects related to the global portfolio of palatants and biotics.
Collaboration and Alignment: Collaborate with regional and global teams and ensure efforts and focus is aligned with the commercial and global strategic priorities of the business.
Life cycle management and portfolio optimization: Identify and drive life cycle management and portfolio optimization initiatives, including rationalization and stock management, for the global palatants and biotics portfolio.
Product and project management: manage cross-functional projects related to the creation of new flavor and sweetener products, product lifecycle innovation and new product launches.
Innovation: Drive the development and support of proposals for innovation/research projects that will create value for the global palatants and biotics portfolio.
Sensory evaluation: oversee the management of the sensory panel and onsite flavor laboratory; perform laboratory tasks as necessary to support the global palatants and biotics portfolio e.g. conducting and interpreting sensory trials; ensure compliance with health and safety and company policies when working in the laboratory.
Your Profile
Masters Degree or PhD in Science (food science, chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field).
Minimum 5 years international experience in the nutrition industry (preferably animal nutrition).
Hand-on experience in a laboratory developing and managing food/feed-related products (preferably flavors and/or sweeteners).
Understanding of food/feed safety regulations and standards (e.g., FDA, EFSA) relevant to flavors and sweeteners for animal nutrition is highly desired.
Experience in leading multidisciplinary teams, fostering collaboration, and managing projects.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey complex ideas and collaborate with stakeholders.
Aptitude for identifying challenges and developing effective solutions.
Understanding of business operations, including cost management, budgeting, and commercialization of products.
You are enthusiastic and have a strong desire for continuous learning.
You feel comfortable in a dynamic, international environment and are open to change.
You are a committed and customer-oriented team player, are proactive and goal-oriented.
Fluent in English, both oral and written; confident handling of MS-Office; experience working with ERP systems, preferably M3 is a plus.
