\\n Reporting to J&J-GTC Director-ECTS (\"Export Controls and Trade Sanctions-Global Trade Controls\"), this position will support efforts to continually improve, deploy and govern GTC data, processes, and automation strategies for the ECTS program in partnership with a global team. The GTC Senior Manager-Export will provide guidance on compliance related issues, including but not limited to, screening, export classifications and export regulations. This role also collaborates with external experts to stay proactively informed on the regulatory environment and internally with regional business managers, GTC functional leads, Law, Health Care Compliance and Global Services to ensure coordination of processes, procedures and remediation plans.

This leader will be an excellent communicator, capable of providing proactive communications (oral and written) to J&J team members on potential and actual changes to requirements
Key Responsibilities:
  • Advise JnJ business on evolving and existing export import and export trade regulations.
  • Support rollout of global ECTS program, with a focus on the EMEA region.
  • Proactively apply regulatory knowledge and export compliance strategies to maintain compliant and cost-effective cross border trade flows.
  • Drive implementation, continuous improvement and governance of export standards and operating procedures.
  • Support governance and oversight of external consultants/contractors, as needed.
  • Develop standard processes, innovative training curriculum and delivery approaches that enable effecting training approaches to serve a virtual highly distributed trainee network.
  • Use experience with data strategy and management to support Key Performance Indicators and Metrics for designated commercial and risk objectives
  • Represent in relevant trade organizations and provide supporting role in analyzing and commenting on any pending regulations, legislations, or trade agreements.
  • Collaborate with teams of trade compliance professionals and J&J businesses to build trust, influence, motivate self and others, practice diversity and inclusion, and make informed and timely decisions.
  • Perform all other relevant activities relating to job accountabilities as required.
Education:
  • BA/BS required; advanced degree strongly preferred
Experience and Skills:

Required:
  • Minimum of 10 years\\\' experience with global trade compliance/operations, including ECTS experience
  • Proven success governing local execution of global trade compliance strategies
  • Audit skills applied in multinational environment
  • Familiarity with global trade management systems such as SAP GTS, Integration Point, Amber Road or similar systems
  • Prior experience using global data strategies to drive cost and compliance objectives
  • Prior experience communicating with regulatory agencies and industry peers and companies
Preferred:
  • Global trade certification
