We are looking for a Grants and Funding Manager to join our headquarters and production site in Geneva, in a newly created position aimed at providing essential support for our pharmaceutical research and development initiatives. Reporting to the Public Affairs Director, your mission is to oversee the entire grant lifecycle, from identifying and scouting funding opportunities to developing proposals, while also ensuring compliance monitoring and reporting.
Your main responsibilities are as follows:
Identify and evaluate grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and industry partners
Lead the preparation and submission of grant applications by drafting narratives, budgets, and supporting documentation, while collaborating with scientific teams to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with funder requirements
Ensure that all submissions are completed on time and comply with regulatory requirements as well as funder guidelines
Serve as the primary liaison between internal teams and funding agencies, providing guidance on grant processes and best practices
Oversee post-award activities, ensuring accurate financial tracking, progress reporting, audits, and the maintenance of comprehensive records for all grant-related activities
Monitor grant success rates and analyze trends to improve future applications
Prepare reports for senior leadership on funding performance and strategic opportunities
Please note that business travels are required for this position, around 10% of working time.
To carry out this mission, we are looking for a person with the following profile:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field
Extensive experience in the pharmaceutical field, with a solid track record in securing grant applications, ensuring compliance, and advancing clinical development efforts
Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and clinical research processes
Skilled at crafting precise written content, conducting budget management, and steering project development
Business fluent in English and French
Proficient in MS Office; experience with electronic grant submission systems preferred
You demonstrate a strategic mindset with keen attention to detail and effective decision-making skills. Your ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple deadlines ensures seamless collaboration across departments.
