Job Summary:
This wonderful family, living just outside of Lugano in a beautiful villa, is seeking a dedicated, friendly, and reliable live-out Nanny Housekeeper to help manage their home and care for their 4-year-old daughter. While there is no accommodation for a live-in role, they are ideally looking for someone who can combine both housekeeping and nanny duties, making this a full-time position. The child is in school, so childcare responsibilities are primarily in the afternoons (approximately 3-4 hours daily), including school pickup and engaging in afternoon routines. The remaining hours would be focused on general housekeeping such as cleaning, laundry, maintaining an organized home, and preparing lunch. The schedule would typically be Monday to Friday, from 11 AM to 7 PM, with occasional Saturdays (1-2 times per month).
The family currently employs a cleaner twice per week and had a nanny whose contract ends in September. They are now looking for someone long-term, experienced in both roles, and comfortable managing the home independently. Cooking for the family will be required about three times per week (any cuisine is welcome), so confidence in the kitchen is a plus. A driver is essential for school runs, and while no pets are in the home, the family appreciates someone who is flexible, organised, and warm with children. An Italian native speaker would be a strong advantage.
General Duties:

• General nannying duties
• Provide attentive and nurturing care for a 4-year-old girl
• Engage in educational and age-appropriate activities (e.g., playtime, reading, arts and crafts)
• Assist with afternoon and evening routines, including bath time and bedtime preparation
• Prepare healthy snacks and meals for the child
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment for the child
• Laundry and ironing for the family
• Organising wardrobes and common areas
• Light grocery shopping and household errands as needed
• Cooking for the family 3 times per week (flexible on cuisine)
• Keeping kitchen clean and tidy after use

Candidate Requirements:

• Proficient in English
• Proactive, approachable, and engaging
• Must be a confident driver (school runs and occasional errands)
• Must be a live-out candidate (no accommodation provided)
• Italian speaker is a plus, but not essential
• Comfortable working in a private household with minimal supervision

Enhanced DBS check required at offer stage & and a current First Aid Certificate
