We are seeking a visionary and strategic Head of Implant Treatment Workflow Management to lead the development, enhancement, and execution of our dental implant workflow solutions. In this senior management role, you will oversee the solution management lifecycle, from ideation and market analysis to development and launch, ensuring that our solutions meet the evolving needs of dental professionals, patients, and industry partners. This position reports directly to EVP Head of Implantology Business Unit (IBU) and it is part of Global IBU Leadership Team.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the dental implant industry, cutting-edge workflow technologies, and customer-centric product strategies. This role requires cross-functional collaboration, innovative problem-solving, and leadership to shape the future of dental implantology.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy and Vision:
Define and drive the strategic roadmap for dental implant workflow solutions, aligning with the company's overall business objectives and market opportunities.
Design innovative and optimized workflow that significantly increases efficiency and convenience for customers & patients and differentiates our system from the competition
Identify and analyze indications and workflows that have the greatest contribution to differentiation and the greatest economic impact and map them with customers & experts in different customer segments.
Ensure clinical workflow solutions are aligned with digital workflows including CAD/CAM, 3D printing, imaging, and treatment planning.
Leadership and Team Management:
Build a high-performing implant treatment workflow team to drive upstream development of clinical implantology workflow solutions and support downstream commercialization across Straumann Group implant brands.
Lead and mentor the team to foster innovation, effectively collaborate and take ownership & accountability.
Serve as a key point of contact between cross-functional teams, including R&D, marketing, sales, clinical advisors, and executive leadership.
Product Development and Execution:
Drive development and execution of clinical implant workflow projects across end-to-end solutions lifecycle from concept validation to launch and post-launch optimization.
Execute projects in close collaboration with Product Management, Research & Development, IDT, Data & Tech and DSO.
Partner with product design, development & testing teams to deliver intuitive, efficient, and innovative solutions for dental professionals and laboratories ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and clinical requirements.
Create and provide a strong solution marketing package for sales organizations and customers.
Customer and Market Focus:
Closely monitor market and competition regarding new developments and customer needs in the field of clinical workflows in dental implantology to continuously refine product offerings and ensure a competitive edge.
Collaborate with marketing teams to create compelling value propositions, go-to-market strategies, and customer education programs.
Engage with key stakeholders, including clinicians, dental labs, and distributors, to understand pain points and opportunities for workflow improvement.
Building strong KOLs for the respective workflow solutions.
Performance Metrics and Reporting:
Monitor and analyze product performance metrics, including adoption rates, user satisfaction, and revenue growth.
Develop regular reports and presentations for senior leadership, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
Ideal candidate would bring:
At least 10 years of leadership experience in product management, preferably in dental, medical device, or healthcare technology industries in international and matrix organizations.
Deep understanding of dental implantology, restorative dentistry, and related workflows, including digital dentistry tools and techniques.
Experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders, timelines, and budgets.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate market needs into product innovations.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with a talent for engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.
Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Knowledge of international regulatory environment of dental or medical product development.
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, dentistry, or a related field (required).
Advanced degree - MBA or similar - an advantage.
Fluent in English.
