The Role
We're looking for a proactive and operationally experienced
Health & Safety Advisor
to join our Repairs & Maintenance team. You'll be the go-to person for health and safety advice, working closely with supervisors and managers to ensure our services are safe, compliant, and continuously improving.
We're particularly keen to hear from candidates with a background in
repairs and maintenance
, as your insight into day-to-day operations will be invaluable in identifying practical health and safety risks and ensuring safe, efficient working practices across our sites.
What You'll Be Doing
No two days are the same in this role. You'll be out and about across our sites, working shoulder-to-shoulder with supervisors, trades teams, and managers to make sure health and safety is more than just a checklist, it's part of how we work.
You'll:
Carry out engaging, hands-on audits and inspections that drive real improvements
Help teams identify and manage risks in a way that's practical and easy to follow
Be a trusted advisor on legislation, best practice, and emerging safety issues
Deliver or coordinate training that empowers people to work safely and confidently
Lead investigations into incidents and near-misses, turning lessons into action
Collaborate with colleagues to shape policies and procedures that work on the ground
Provide clear, actionable reports that help managers make informed decisions
What We're Looking For
Experience in
construction or property maintenance
, with a strong understanding of engineering disciplines
A
NEBOSH Certificate
(minimum) and membership of a recognised professional body (or willingness to join)
Strong operational awareness and ability to work collaboratively with site teams
Excellent communication, time management, and attention to detail
Ability to work independently, under pressure, and across multiple sites
Confident using IT systems and digital tools
