Job Description

The Human Resources Section (HR) has a transversal function in the organization and its aim is to ensure that ITC has the right quality of Human Resources with the appropriate skills and competencies in order to achieve its strategic and operational goals and to provide staff with a supportive, challenging and rewarding work environment in order for them to fulfil their potential and maximize their contribution to the organization. This position is located in the HR Staff Administration Team.
Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of the Human Resources Officer, the general guidance of the Senior HR Officer and the overall oversight of the Chief, Human Resources, o Ensures completion of pre-recruitment formalities for selected staff and conducts induction sessions. o Prepares offers of appointments, and assists selected candidates with travel arrangements, visa matters and shipment of personal effects. o Reviews and processes requests for entitlements, benefits and claims, and prepares personnel actions. o Assists in the review and processing of data pertaining to conditions of service. o Provides logistics and administrative support for trainings related to staff administration. o Provides general office support services; drafts and/or processes a variety of correspondence and other communications related to benefits and allowances. o Sets up and maintains reference files/records (electronic and paper). o Schedules appointments/meetings, monitors deadlines, etc. o Undertakes research on a range of HR related issues and assists in the preparation of notes/reports. o Maintains automated database containing HR related statistics o Performs a variety of administrative duties (e.g. leave recording, etc.). o May provide guidance/training to less experienced staff. o Assists with the collection and analysis of data as well as preparation of data presentations and reports for information sharing, responding to queries, knowledge management, planning and decision making. o Assists with visualizations and updating information material such as web pages or HR Guides. o Performs other duties as required.

Work Experience
A minimum of five years (reduced to three years with a completed university degree) of experience in human resources management, administrative services or related area is required. Experience in staff administration of benefits and entitlements is desirable Experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning software in HR modules, is desirable Experience working in the United Nations Common System is desirable.
Languages
